Swelling after replacement of temporary screw on implant

| November 15, 2013 | 0 Comments

I Had a temporary screw put into my implant and after two months it popped out. I had my dentist put it back in and it developed redness right outside of the implant site on my cheek, a lot of swelling and terrible pain.

The hospital gave me a antibiotic prescription that I started to take immediately. It helped with the pain more than the pain killers did. So the next day I had my dentist remove the screw while waiting to see the oral surgeon the next day and was told I have no infection.

How can that be?
What is it if not an infection?
