I got a Dental implant infection a few months ago –

I had dental implants done on the lower jaw both on right and left side .One implant post on right and two on the left in April. The right one is perfect but the ones on the left got infected and I had to remove them.

I had the dental implants redone 12 days ago and they looked and felt Ok until 3 days ago when it started to hurt a lot .I had X-rays done and there is no swelling ,no infection,no redness.

What’s the explanation…..please help.

    Pain

    Hi ABC,

It’s not an easy answer about where your pain is coming from. It could be that the surrounding tissue and structures are more tender after having the previous implants removed. It could also be that your oral hygiene around the teeth is not adequate enough, causing a gum infection. Make sure there is no dental decay or other infection in adjacent teeth, because tooth pain is often referred pain and may be coming from another area even though you are certain it is not. As long as your dentist feels that everything looks healthy then I cannot provide you with an explanation. Just make sure you’re cleaning around it extremely well.
